For the first time ever, Blythewood High School's Cyber Center is hosting an intern from the School of Library and Information Science at the University of South Carolina.
Mrs. Leah Bartys received her Bachelors degree in education from Radford University. After three years teaching sixth grade English in Virginia, she moved to South Carolina. She has been working at the Richland County Public Library since the fall of 2008 in a variety of roles, all of which revolved around serving children and teens. In January 2010, Mrs. Bartys began pursuing her Master's degree. She will be with us through early November and is scheduled to graduate this December.
While with us, Mrs. Bartys will be assisting us with technology trouble shooting, proving instruction on information literacy, conducting a revamp of the Cyber Center's website, collaborating with teachers, helping with College and Career Center programs, and participating in anything else that come her way.
She is excited to be spending her internship experience at Blythewood High School and wants everyone to know how much she appreciates that warm Bengal Welcome.
