How to Request a Book for Pick Up

​Blythewood High School students have numerous options for summer reading and learning.  Each Bengal family is encouraged to explore the variety of options available and design a summer learning experience that best fits the needs of their student(s).

• Consult the subject specific suggested readings and assignments for courses students will be taking in the fall - details below
• Read for pleasure by choosing book(s) that you are interested in reading.  BHS librarians recommend the South Carolina Young Adult Book Award nominees or using NoveList Plus from DISCUS for recommendations.
• Participate in the Richland Library Summer Learning Challenge - earn prizes!
• Many ebook and audiobook choices are available in the Richland Two Overdrive collection.  Search and borrow from both the Richland Two collection and the Richland Library collection using our Sora website or download the Sora app for iPhone or Android.  Students use their 8 digit student ID number and password for access.
• Two free audiobooks per week through Audiobooks SYNC - download in Sora after adding the Audiobooks SYNC library. 
• Read one of the variety of Flipster digital magazines on a wide range of subjects available from our school library - BHS Username/Password for Flipster required
• Read a newspaper online for free - BHS username/password required for NIE (News in Education)
